The membership committee is hoping to build on a successful
2005/2006 season this year. Membership forms should be in by
September 22nd to ensure a spot for you on your
desired
event.
The Cumberland Curling Club has several membership alternatives to
chose from to fit your social calendar.
Regular
League play –
You can chose to play in either a mixed league (Mondays and Fridays
evenings) or men’s only league (Tuesday and Thursday
evenings). Teams are fixed for the season and round-robin play both
before and
after Christmas results in award of club trophies and pins.
Instructional
- We have
recently introduced a successful instruction night on Wednesday. This
night is an excellent opportunity for those people who have always
wanted to try the sport but don’t want to jump right in with
regular league play. This is also an excellent night for people who
haven’t played in a while and want to shake off the rust.
Daytime
– This is
an excellent league for those who are looking for an activity during
the day. The daytime league is mainly made up of men’s play,
but
there are more and more opportunities for ladies and mixed as the
interest has been increasing. The daytime league also travels to
other local clubs for daytime events through the year.
